Katy Geist

Life is often not easy and things seem messy at times. It can be invaluable to have someone help sort through thoughts and feelings without judgement. There are times we may need a supportive person to walk beside us with encouragement and compassion. Katy Geist can help provide the tools to understand and process issues being faced with counseling.

Katy currently holds licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor Intern in the state of Texas and is actively pursuing a Licensed Professional Counseling certificate under the supervision of Molly Rafferty M.Ed. LPC-S. Katy received a Masters of Arts in Counseling from Wayland Baptist University, as well as a Bachelors of Music from West Texas A&M University.

Katy enjoys counseling individuals, families, couples, and groups. She strives to help couples succeed through relationship, marriage, and premarital counseling.  She also has experience working with teenagers and blended families. Being a stepmother has been an important part of Katy's life and has heavily influenced her training.  Helping other stepparents and blended families gain the skills to be successful is one of Katy's primary goals as a counselor.  Katy also addresses topics with clients such as depression, anxiety, grief, confidence, self-worth, trauma, and communication skills.

Katy is married with two grown stepchildren.  She and her husband are active members of their church. She enjoys spending quality time with friends and family, traveling, doing anything artistic, and trying new things.  Katy is passionate about music, especially singing.
